Strawberry House Gets Metal Roofing

Metal roofing is going up on strawberry house, about half went up yesterday, hopefully it should be done by the end of today. Cutting it is the tough part, especially the diagonal cuts. They are using a circular saw with an old blade in backwards, and it makes a terrible noise but works.

The timing is good, it rained a little bit last night and has been threatening on and off all day but held off so far, except a few drops once.

Karen, a carpenter and friend of folks here, is here to help out for a week. She helped a lot with the roof and has been doing some framing, may help put in windows and doors later in the week. She is the one on the roof in the red sweatshirt. She brought her cute 5 year old daughter and 4 1/2 year old nephew and they are have a great time, playing and talking and laughing.
